The Gold Coast city council awarded a tender in early 2018 to manufacture bike racks suitable for temporary installation on grass to accommodate 2,200 bicycles. The GCI group was tasked with design & manufacture to a required specification.
The end result was stainless steel racks with a bead blasted finish and a clear powder coat.
In conjunction with the racks suitable for short term grass instillation, there were also several bike racks required for a permanent installation on concrete.

The Commonwealth Games have now come and gone!
As a contributor for the delivery of the Games, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for GCI’s patience and cooperation in supplying the bike racks.
